Enjoy Your Weeknd?

Weekly Buzz

This year’s halftime show was the first one to not have any of the mega rich Super Bowel fans able to crowd onto the field for the traditional concert experience. The Weeknd cut no corners for his vision and spent $7 million of his own money after going grossly over budget to get his artistic vision across. Maybe I just haven’t been able to go to a concert in too long, but that presentation was an amazing achievement for live performances. Because he wasn’t in any way pandering to the rich football hogs actually at the game he was able to put together a performance specifically for the TV viewer. Obliviously it wasn’t perfect when you have to sensor your songs and pretend they aren’t all about sex and drugs, but I don’t know that we are likely to see another cinematographic experience for a live music performance of this caliber again anytime soon. Also it beat the hell out of the super spreader concerts that people like 50 Cent were having packed with people and Champaign nearby.

If you are a grumpy old man and disagree with me about the halftime show and think it was bad, but would prefer to use some old-timey slang for it being bad such as “hogwash” I’ve got some other news for you to focus your unjustified anger. Lil Uzi got a $24 million dollar pink diamond attached to his forehead which is dumb and funny as hell.
