Mental Health Awareness Month
Weekly Buzz
Billie Eilish is still new on the scene and very young but has been unafraid to talk about Mental Health from the beginning. Hopefully her honesty inspires others to be more authentic and less like the photoshopped Instagram ad revenue machines most celebrities are using their reach to become. I wanted to take a moment to share some of the things she has said that have probably helped young people dealing with their own trauma that feel alone.
“I just hated my body. I would have done anything to be in a different one,”
“When people ask me what I’d say to somebody looking for advice on mental health, the only thing I can say is patience, I had patience with myself. I didn’t take that last step. I waited. Things fade.”
"Songs about being depressed or suicidal or completely just against-yourself—some adults think that’s bad, but I feel that seeing that someone else feels just as horrible as you do is a comfort. It’s a good feeling.”
