At this point I suppose it is old news that Travis Scott helped induce violence at his show that directly lead to the death of ten people including a nine year old boy. It is difficult to blame someone directly for what happens when a crowd panics, except in this case where there is a history of the artist repeatedly encouraging his fans to endanger themselves at concerts. In 2015 he was charged for encouraging fans to rush the stage, 2 years later he spotted a fan handing from a second story balcony and he encouraged the fan to jump. At that same concert a fan was paralyzed after being pushed off a third floor balcony. In 2019 3 people were hospitalized after fans were encouraged to rush barriers. This is the same Travis Scott who left his former manager for dead when they were having a seizure in the studio.

He didn’t stop the show when he could see ambulances trying to make their way trough the crowd, or with thousands of people chanting for him to stop the show. He ignored the warnings from the chief of police that he received before the show regarding making sure the event was safe. Live Nation who hosted the show also should receive an incredible amount of blame for this, not just Travis. However, almost none of the headlines or articles about the show even mention Live Nation. The shows security was immediately breached before the show even began with people sprinting in on video. They also had a medical tent designed for 10 people at a show with thousands that would see 10 people dead by the end of it. Live Nation was informed about people being dead, and yet the show continued, nobody pulled Travis offstage or informed him people were dead not just hurt or passed out. Travis has been cut from Coachella despite offering to play for free, but Live Nation will continue to run unsafe shows with jacked up prices everywhere.
